When it comes to bangles, sizing isn’t just about wrist circumference — it’s about your hand size too. Unlike bracelets that can open or clasp around the wrist, bangles are solid circles that must slide over your hand. That’s why bangle sizes are measured by inner diameter, not bracelet length.
Why Not Use Inches Like Bracelets?
Bracelet sizes are typically given in inches because they’re flexible or open-ended. However, bangles are rigid and must pass over the widest part of the hand. Two people can have the same wrist measurement but very different hand widths — which is why the inner diameter of the bangle is the most reliable way to determine size.
Bangle sizing is shown in fractional inches — for example, size 2-4/16″ refers to 2 inches and 4 sixteenths, as seen on a standard inch ruler.

How to Measure Your Bangle Size
Option 1: Using an Existing Bangle

Take a bangle that fits you well.

Place it on a ruler and measure the inner diameter straight across the center.

Match that diameter with our chart above.
Option 2: Using Your Hand Circumference

Bring your fingers together as if slipping on a bangle.

Wrap a measuring tape around the widest part of your hand (usually at the knuckles).

Note the measurement and compare it with the “Inner Circumference” column in the chart.
